Can post from word for Windows

Sorry for the multiple posts of my 50 questions on interest in celebrities. From Word , first I tried cut and paste and then got better with that. Then I decided to find out and learn if I could post from within Word using one button. Yes I can. I had to register first. But anyway, sorry, and now I can communicate even better. Let’s listen to music together

Let’s listen to music together. Rhapsody is working out for me
I love all kinds of music. I love the online music service Rhapsody. It is great for people like me who love music and want to go overboard finding fantastic old and new music of all types.
I want to alternate between --- listening and studying music on my own --- and then getting together with a friend or groups of people to listen and study together. I find that I really learn a lot, and if fact open up to new music, if a friend is into it.
We can share musical recommendation and ideas. We can share notes on how to use Rhapsody and discuss how Rhapsody compares with other musical offerings. I am looking at all the features of Rhapsody and how to use them, and also how to share Rhapsody and get the most use out of it on multiple computers and devices. I have Rhapsody on my iPhone and am real thrilled with it.
I like to use Google, iTunes, Wiki, YouTube, etc – to find artists and then go to Rhapsody to find the songs. I am looking for various kinds of experiences: Some sessions will be like bull sessions; Others will be like study sessions; Others will be like (WILL BE) parties; Dancing, singing, moderate drinking, Karaoke. I play guitar and piano somewhat – we also could have jam sessions.

About organizer Alvin(Al) Rogers

About organizer Alvin(Al) Rogers ...
I have recently moved to Palo Alto from Fremont. I love meeting new people and getting to know new friends. I am outgoing and like to talk in groups of people (but one-one-one is best where “I interview you while you interview me” especially while walking).
I love to practice the art of conversation. I like going to open events at Stanford. I recently attended a two day seminar, Music and the Brain. It was wonderful. I have recently joined a book club in Mountain View. I love going to the library and to bookstores. I like reading the NY Times. I like to write essays on various topics.
I like travelling around the bay area and California. I have recently (2006) been all over the south in the US including the everglades in Florida. In 1999 I went to Africa and Egypt to visit my daughter in the Peace Corps. I have been to Paris three times and Hawaii once! I love Skyping around the world. I love visiting Manhattan where my son lives. I have three wonderful grown kids that I love keeping in touch with them.
I attend church regularly and participate in discussions and go on outings. I like all denominations: I go to Unitarian, Humanist, Presbyterian, Methodist, Lutheran, Baptist and Catholic churches. I have found very interesting churches in Palo Alto.
I love all kinds of music and iTunes. I play the piano and the guitar. I love to sing and dance. I have been going to group ballroom dance classes at dance clubs for over two years.
I am especially interested in the economy and energy. I want to know what Paul Krugman and Steven Chu are thinking. I love KQED especially Michael Krasny, Terry Gross and Ira Glass.

I have a degree in Physics and 35 years experience as an electronics engineer and programmer. I love searching on the Internet for all sorts of information. I love exploring new applications from Google. I am having lots of fun learning the features of my new iPhone.
In appropriate settings, I like talking about philosophy, science and engineering.
I also like talking about current events, and sharing the highlights of my day (and the high light of your day). I like simple “what’s on your mind “or “what did you do today” type of discussions. I believe life should be give and take.
I grew up in Corpus Christi Texas and had a very happy childhood. As teen I had a rock and roll band. I joined the army after high school and went to California (LA) I got married at 21, and had three wonderful children. I worked full time while in college. I have a degree in Physics and then worked as an Electronics Engineer. I lived in Corpus 18 years, LA 12 years, Fremont 38 years and Palo Alto three months! I have been a widower for 6 years.
Any Questions? follow me at: www.twitter.com/arogers330
And then ... I moved back to Fremont after living in PA for 6 months.

My idea for friends of Al (FOA)

My idea for friends of Al (FOA), is to have a group where every member is either a personal friend or someone on the way to become a personal friend, not a so called internet or web friend but an actual old fashion, real-life friend where we facilitate our face-to-face interactions with the meetup software. I hope to have a small but growing group of people with whom I can have a personal interaction. FOA is not about quantity it is about quality. This group my never be larger than 5 or 10 people. I hope we are a very diverse group.
People in this group will like to think and learn and then meet with others to study more. We can talk, walk and socialize together. We are interested in current events, science, technology, art, music -- the past , present and future -- what ever! With your feed back I will plan our events to meet our interests.

I am a learning machine -- are you? I want to Google everything and everybody!
The greatest invention in the world is that you can highlight text anywhere and then Google it!
Everyday I get very interested in several new topics. I will use the message board here as a sort of a blog. You can do the same. For every new idea I get, I will start a new discussion on the message board. Every time I have a question I will make a series of questions in the polling area. If you want any help on how to use the meetup software call me( Al, cell: 510 396 9303) or email me at rogers.alvin@gmail.com

We like questions and love to speculate. We are not constrained by topic. I will schedule a new meeting every time I think of an interesting topic or question or activity. Our meetings will all all over the map. Every time I see a bench or a room somewhere I will think about a meetup there.

To form a group of friends that really enjoy each others company, that really click together. That really love the same things -- THAT I DO! The purpose of the group is to enjoy life and have fun together. To get together where we talk about anything we want. For topics I will provide my obsession of the week! This is a place where I can be who I am and see if there is anyone out there that says -- Yes you are our leader!

canceled meetup site by same name -- now here

I am admitting that I could not make my --- bay area friends of Al --- site on meetup work. Apparently planning events is something that I will have to work harder at. That site cost 19.00 a month and this one is free. I was using my meetup site like a blog anyway. It was a learning experience for me. There are a lot of lazy self centered people in the world that never volunteer to help but only want to complain.
